Rodrigues tops disclosed payouts at UFC Sacramento

Gregory Rodrigues was the highest-paid fighter on Saturday's UFC Fight Night 285 card in Sacramento, at least in terms of disclosed payouts, according to figures released by the California State Athletic Commission.

Rodrigues took home $340,000 from his win and show money for the main-event victory over Anthony Hernandez, plus another $100,000 for the Fight of the Night bonus. Reinier de Ridder earned a disclosed $300,000 for his win over Roman Dolidze, and co-main event victor Vitor Petrino earned $200,000 for his unanimous-decision win over Serghei Spivac, MMA Junkie reported.

The figures are a partial view of fighter compensation: they do not include performance or discretionary bonuses, nor payments under letters of agreement — the “side letters” the promotion uses, typically with bigger-name athletes. Disclosed purses are filed with state athletic commissions and reflect contracted amounts, not total earnings.
