Meghan Markle Reunites With Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi at an Oxfordshire Pub

Meghan Markle was seen with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi on Monday at the Three Horseshoes, an 18th-century pub in Oxfordshire, according to The Cut.

The reunion places Meghan back in the company of longtime friends who were once her neighbors in Montecito, and it comes during what the report describes as a rough few weeks for Meghan and Prince Harry after their move back to the United Kingdom.

DeGeneres and de Rossi relocated to the U.K. after Donald Trump’s 2024 election, but before that the couple lived near the Sussexes in Montecito.

The friendship has a public history: Meghan and Harry attended DeGeneres and de Rossi’s Kris Jenner–officiated vow renewal in 2023.

There is no public account of what the three discussed at the pub. The report notes only that the outing gave Meghan a connection to her former California community.

Since returning to the U.K., the Sussexes have faced public and private disruptions. A letter sent to senior government officials on behalf of King Charles III reiterated that the couple are still nonworking royals.

The family also had to abruptly change their children’s school due to security concerns, and Meghan’s phone number was reportedly leaked in a WhatsApp parents’ group chat.

Despite those setbacks, Meghan appears to be seeking community in her new-old home. A few days after arriving, she was seen at the members-only club Soho Farmhouse.

Whether further reunions with old friends will follow remains open, but the Three Horseshoes meeting offers a small sign of continuity amid an otherwise unsettled transition.
