Cowboys’ touchdown with 40 seconds left beats Texans 34-30

Dak Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb on a 12-yard touchdown with 40 seconds remaining Sunday, lifting the Dallas Cowboys to a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans.

The Cowboys improved to 2-2, while the Texans fell to 0-4 after a game down Interstate 45.

Dallas trailed 16-6 at halftime after managing 121 first-half yards, two field goals and two missed attempts from beyond 60 yards.

The second half belonged to the Cowboys, who finished with 399 total yards. Prescott completed 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards and one touchdown, the late winner to Lamb.

Lamb caught 17 passes for 189 yards, and George Pickens added two receptions for 75 yards.

Javonte Williams ran 19 times for 62 yards and three touchdowns, while KaVontae Turpin had second-half kickoff returns of 48 and 32 yards.

Houston gained 397 yards but could not match Dallas after halftime. C.J. Stroud completed 21 of 31 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns.

Nico Collins caught seven passes for 118 yards and both Texans touchdowns. David Montgomery finished with 24 yards on 10 carries as Houston’s run-game problems continued.

Stroud’s Hail Mary on the final play fell incomplete, sealing Dallas’ second win and leaving Houston winless through four games.
